We just wanted to let you know about The ELSA Study.

If you’ve not heard of it before, The ELSA Study (EarLy Surveillance for Autoimmune diabetes) is a trail co-funded by JDRF and Diabetes UK screening children for type 1 diabetes.

The study is the first of its kind in the UK and will identify children at high risk of type 1 and will also support their families to ensure the earliest, safest diagnosis possible.

Children aged 3-13 years can have a simple finger stick blood test to find out their risk of developing type 1 diabetes in the future.
