If you’re moving into adult services then you might want to start looking at My Type 1 Diabetes where you’ll find lots of resources to help.

My Type 1 Diabetes is a public information website for adults living with Type 1 Diabetes. The website contains educational resources including videos and leaflets plus multi-language content to learn more about Type 1 Diabetes and how to manage it.

Through the site you can also register to access four eLearning courses for adults with Type 1 diabetes, to help increase understanding and confidence in self-management. These courses cover a range of topics useful for people who are newly diagnosed, or for those needing additional support with insulin management, carb counting, lifestyle change and complications management. They also include topics like driving, employment, alcohol, sex and travel. There is also a specific course for young adults, and courses for people either thinking about or starting insulin pump therapy.

This course is aimed at anyone diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It focuses on what diabetes is, how it is treated, complications and lifestyle advice.
