KidsAP Study Shows Huge Benefit with Closed-Loop System for Children's Diabetes Self-Management
22 Apr 2022
Exciting news for children’s diabetes care:
The KidsAP project, a 5-year EU-funded international collaboration aiming to assess the ability of closed-loop therapy to improve glucose control in very young children with type 1 diabetes, is now completed. The exciting results show significant improvements in glucose control and quality of life with closed-loop, and will help transform how type 1 diabetes is managed in this vulnerable age-group. Diabetes centres across the UK are now rolling out closed-loop for very young children, including as part of the NHS England closed-loop pilot.
DigiBete are proud to announce they have made a film to explain how the closed-loop system works, with thanks to the KidsAP project, and you can watch the film below.
