Content Review & Governance
DigiBete is your QISMET accredited, trusted self-management platform and App for the whole family and community managing Type 1 diabetes. Built by families for families, and clinically approved by NHS experts. We’re here to guide you every step of the way with resources aimed at supporting anyone up to the age of 25. We aim to increase Education, Awareness and Training for Type 1 but we are not a substitute for your own diabetes specialist HCPs.
We are proud to be a true collaboration between a clinical team and a parent led initiative. The creation of this site together is a reflection of the wider values of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, The National CYP Diabetes Network to support the National Diabetes Programme:
- We are patient centred – this site is for all children, young people and families living with diabetes. The content of the site will evolve in response to patients’ requests.
- We are fair – this is a free to access site for everyone; no registrations, no payment.
- We are collaborative – we are all one team with a common purpose, working in partnership with patients and families.
- We are accountable – our content is all co-designed with patients and families, clinically accurate, peer reviewed. All content is annually reviewed and in line with the NHS Digital Safety Standard DCB0129.
- We are empowering – we celebrate positivity and success by sharing stories.
Whilst there is a clinical team behind the DigiBete site, no personal advice can be given. Individuals should always contact their own diabetes team for information.
All resources on this site are subject to a structured review cycle to ensure accuracy and compliance with our internal policies.
- Each resource is reviewed periodically by the designated content owner.
- Dates of the most recent review for specific materials can be provided upon request.
- We are continuously working to display review dates for all public-facing content as part of ongoing improvements.
