Hi,
We're excited to share some fantastic news!
At DigiBete, we're committed to supporting children and young people living with diabetes, and the parents, carers and families who support them - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We're proud to announce that DigiBete has once again been commissioned by NHS England to deliver our service and we will be introducing an exciting new feature for those in England that will make learning about diabetes even easier.
Coming Soon
From mid-September, you'll notice a new Structured Education section on the DigiBete home screen.
This new area has been designed to help families learn about diabetes in a simple, engaging and flexible way. Whether you're newly diagnosed or looking to build your confidence over time, you'll be able to access trusted NHS-approved learning whenever it suits you.
There will be dedicated learning pathways for:
Everything you already love is staying
The new Structured Education section is an addition to DigiBete, not a replacement.
You'll still have access to all the self-management resources and features you already know and rely on, including videos, articles, sick day guidance, insulin information, carb counting support, wellbeing resources, recipes, and much more. Everything that's currently available will remain exactly where you expect to find it.
The new Structured Education area simply adds another way to learn, providing a guided NHS curriculum alongside the wealth of trusted information already available in DigiBete.
Learning at your own pace
We know that every family's diabetes journey is different. That's why the new Structured Education programme lets you learn at a pace that works for you, returning whenever you need a refresher or want to explore a new topic.
As you work through the programme, your progress will be recorded, helping your diabetes team understand which education you've completed and ensuring you receive all the support recommended by the NHS.
Working together with your diabetes team
The new Structured Education programme has been developed with NHS England to help ensure every family has access to high-quality diabetes education. Your local diabetes team will continue to support you every step of the way, while DigiBete provides trusted information whenever you need it—at home, at school, or on the go.
This exciting new feature builds on everything DigiBete already offers, giving families even more support throughout their diabetes journey.
We're looking forward to sharing it with you.
Look out for the new Structured Education section in the DigiBete app from mid-September!
Many thanks from all at Team DB : )
