Welcome to the website of the Association of Children’s Diabetes Clinicians (ACDC). We are a group of doctors involved in the care of children and young people with diabetes across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The Association was set up to share good practice, to discuss clinical management and the organisation of diabetes services and develop national guidelines.

DWED is the only charity that at present advocates for and represents those suffering from type 1 diabetes and eating disorders in the United Kingdom. For many years our volunteers have battled to gain more recognition for ED-DMT1 [an umbrella term that covers any kind of disordered eating alongside Type 1 Diabetes) and Diabulimia (deliberate insulin omission, which can be a behaviour commonly found in sufferers of ED-DMT1) and for DWED as an organisation. UK CWD AG are a patient led, not for profit organisation, who work with other Diabetes organisations such as Diabetes UK, Breakthrough T1D, DRWF. they aim to raise awareness of the issues regarding all aspects of T1D.
