Automatic glucose readings sent straight to your smartphone*

Keeping a close eye on your glucose levels is crucial in managing your diabetes. But this can feel like a never-ending numbers game that requires constant finger pricking and a lot of guesswork.

Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) Systems allow you to see your glucose readings in real-time, without finger pricks* or scanning¹. So, with a glance at your optional receiver, watch, or compatible smartphone you can view your numbers anytime and anywhere.

A young boy is asleep in bed whilst his mum checks his glucose levels on her phone.
A little girl smiles and looks at the camera, she has a glucose monitor on her arm.

Dexcom Warrior, Ava, is a little girl living her best life with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Her mum shares her preparation checklist, special considerations and how they use Dexcom CGM to help manage Ava’s diabetes while she’s at school, Read Ava’s story.

It’s helped her to start becoming a bit more independent in managing her own glucose levels. But it also still enables her to be a care-free child as myself and her other caregivers can easily manage it without the need to keep finger pricking her*. One of the main benefits is also helping us all to get more sleep without worrying.

An Introduction to Continuous Glucose Monitoring

Instead of looking at one glucose number at a single moment in time, Dexcom CGM tracks your glucose levels day and night. A slim sensor is inserted just beneath the skin using an automatic applicator. The sensor wire connects to a small transmitter that sends automatic glucose readings straight to a receiver or compatible smartphone. For people with diabetes, Dexcom CGMs gives a more complete picture of glucose numbers and trends for better diabetes management§ and a healthierˡˡ,² more confident life without the need for finger pricks* or scanning.
