We wanted to share some wonderful news on this Jubilee weekend as our very own clinical lead, Dr. Fiona Campbell has been awarded an OBE from the Queens Birthday Honours; so richly deserved for all her work to improve the lives of children & young people living with diabetes: thegazette.co.uk/notice/408414
Fiona has spent 30 years working tirelessly to improve the lives of children, young people and their families living with Type 1 Diabetes. She is a practicing consultant for diabetes and has also created a whole national CYP network to improve care and has supported DigiBete to create a digital out-of-hours service to support families at home. All of this has been voluntary time alongside her full time job.
