Diabetes UK : Peer Support Events

Hello there,

The Type 1 Events team at Diabetes UK are running a series of 3 panels over the next 2 months that we thought might be helpful for you all.

These events are all aimed at parents and carers of children with type 1 diabetes and will be held over Zoom.

Here are the details for all of the sessions:

Topic: Going back to school with type 1 diabetes

When: Wednesday, 12 August – 7.30-8.30pm

Panellists: Healthcare professionals, a teacher, and a parent

Topic: Newly diagnosed – what happens when type 1 diabetes joins your family?

When: Tuesday, 18 August – 7-8.30pm

Panellists: Volunteers living with type 1, discussing their own experiences

Topic: Becoming more independent

When: Monday, 21 September – 7-8.30pm

Panellists: Volunteers living with type 1, discussing their own experiences
